Victor Louis

Victor Louis (10 May 1731 – 2 July 1800) was a French architect, winner of the Prix de Rome in 1755.

Louis was responsible for the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux of 1780[1], the Théâtre National de la rue de la Loi, and the theatre of the Comédie-Française on the rue de Richelieu.[2] He also designed the galleries of the Palais-Royal in Paris. A full biography was published in Bordeaux in 1881.[3] In 1770 he married the pianist and composer Marie-Emmanuelle Bayon.
